ARCA Case Study
Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) are the UK’s leading association representing the interests of Asbestos Removal Contractors and associated businesses.
ARCA promote safety and professionalism throughout the licensed asbestos removal industry.
At the time their implementation was outdated and was no longer supported by Microsoft. ARCA was using Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision 2013 (a product now called Business Central).
They also needed to make sure they could get on board with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital for VAT requirements.
They wanted to keep Business Central, so had two options:
move to an on-premise solution (which would have been significantly more expensive), or
migrate to a cloud-based solution.
ARCA was anxious that their incumbent supplier was not supporting them with their business challenges; this dramatically reduced their confidence in continuing to work with them. As a result, they moved to another company for software support (ARKOM). As they weren’t a registered Business Central reseller, they couldn’t upgrade or provide hosting licenses.
ARKOM, who is a trusted Cbiz CRM partner, recommended that ARCA contact Cbiz for further help.
Their incumbent supplier had given a quote that was three times the amount Cbiz quoted to provide the solution. Plus, we were willing to offer a monthly (rather than an annual) hosting fee, enabling ARCA to manage cash flow more effectively.
The process of upgrading from Dynamics NAV 2013 to Dynamics NAV 2018 was a technical challenge but was a low risk as we provided a clear upgrade path and managed the project with them.
