In a recent study, Microsoft surveyed over 200 small and medium UK businesses to learn how they engage with customers.
They found that:
- 97% of those surveyed believe customer engagement is vital
- 79% believed they are very effective at engaging customers offline
- 55% believed their online customer engagement is effective
- 86% of growing businesses view customer engagement as ‘essential’ and are good at customer relationship management both online and offline
The research revealed that customer engagement is key to business growth and customer retention.
Microsoft state that: “Engaged customers are more likely to be satisfied, purchase again and recommend the product or service to their peers – this results in more sales, driving higher revenue that in turn leads to business growth”.
Microsoft have created a report using the research results along with guidance and tips to help improve customer relationships.
