Both businesses participate in the same supply chain – sourcing Fine Artworks – both originals and limited-edition prints – from artists – to individual customers and corporate clients.

The Company
Wyecliffe Galleries is operated by its founding partners Ben and wife Josie Fry. The Company provides fine art supplies and installation services to individuals and corporate clients from their base in Weybridge, Surrey. The company currently employs 10 staff, working in areas from sourcing and gallery management through to sales and delivery.
As a Director, Ben recognised the importance of keeping good client information and using social media to connect with interested customers. Wyecliffe Galleries operate a Shopify sales website and leverage social media and Mail Chimp marketing to promote new artworks.
High priorities for the business were the efficient processing of sales and effective customer information tracking. Integration to their online web shop, and stock tracking were a bonus! The business systems and accounts were previously managed by their accountants, and sales recording in-house was previously very manual.
Wyecliffe Galleries sell primarily to individuals, many of whom are repeat buyers, so understanding client’s interests and preferences was and is key to effective marketing.
Wyecliffe Galleries source many artworks from their supplier Buckingham Fine Art Publishers. As such, Ben was well placed to see how the same type of Dynamics NAV solution would also greatly benefit the Wyecliffe Galleries business.
The Solution
As a Dynamics NAV Solution Partner, CBIZ support diverse customers, helping them to realise the benefits of tailored and integrated systems. Following a review of requirements for Wyecliffe Galleries with Ben, it was clear that the artwork stock management scheme used by their partner would also work well for them. Dynamics NAV provides a great foundation for serial numbered stock items with barcoded labels. A complete history from purchase to sale can be maintained for each artwork.
As a growing business, solid finance and sales recording is essential. Dynamics NAV met all of these needs well. Connectivity and installation was easy as all systems are fully hosted securely in the cloud. We were able to help transfer initial data for both finance and artwork products, so the system was ready to go. A combination of scheduled online training and ongoing remote support has enabled the business to get started with the confidence that advice and assistance are available when needed.
Since initial Implementation the Wyecliffe Galleries Dynamics NAV system is now integrated further to Shopify, Mail Chimp and Dynamics CRM. Working together, these systems allow them to intelligently communicate with, and market to their growing client base.
Integration to Shopify allows product and price data to flow to the web shop and orders to be collected in Dynamics NAV.
