A Marriage of Minds: CBIZ as Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner
We have recently engaged with a Dynamics 365 for Sales (CRM) partner to help on the Business Central part of their project. We always enjoy by partnering with other experts to solve an organisation’s problems, yet what I like about this particular opportunity is the way that the CFO has engaged the team.
He was available initially to explain the vision and project approach and – since selecting us as their partner – has made the time to sit with us and co-shape the design. The core aim is to use the standard features of Dynamics 365 Business Central along with a selection of extensions which plug seamlessly into the software.
His involvement has cemented my belief that implementing software systems – especially those that improve an organisations efficiency – starts with a marriage of minds between the organisation and the partners involved.
The CBIZ Role in the Project
While the project is not a big one for us, the enthusiasm and commitment shown from everyone from the top down, has given everyone in the team energy and drive to meet a tight deadline.
This project further enthuses me as it allows the customer to picture the benefits the solution will bring and how it takes them to the next level of efficiency – particularly by connecting Dynamics 365 for Sales to Dynamics 365 Business Central in real time.
The integration allows sales orders to seamlessly flow into Business Central for invoicing (with no keying in or manual imports), and their purchase order to invoice process is automated.
Purchase invoices are easily emailed or scanned (and then OCR processed – using optical character recognition to convert document types) into Business Central and are automatically approved if the invoice matches the purchase order.
The Customers CFO is driven and motivated by the prospect of removing repetitive, manual operations so his team can focus on the more important, analytical and forward-thinking parts of their roles.
Even in this proof of concept stage, it is warming to see the smiles on the team’s faces when we see what we can achieve for the organisation with the Dynamics 365 suite of products. I look forward to seeing how the project develops.
